Single-swim admission is not available to the traveling general public.

If you know someone who's a member, you can ask him to sponsor you for membership. Do not call the club; unless you're referred by a member, they'll give you no information.

Guests registered at the NYAC's private hotel $10.00 + tax.
N.B: Even hotel access is limited to club members and members of reciprocal facilities. (See "Affiliate".)

If you belong to one of the very limited number of clubs which have reciprocal arrangements with the NYAC, you'll be able to get in; otherwise forget about it.
If you don't know whether your club is one of those clubs, it isn't.

We tried to get information about the NYAC back when we were publishing the book, and hit a brick wall at every approach. This is one exclusive club and hotel.If you're not already a member of the NYAC or of a club which has reciprocal arrangements with the NYAC, calling them will get you absolutely nowhere. We list it here only to save you time and telephone charges.
