No swimmers under 18 are allowed to swim laps. My kids do over 4,000 yards, five times a week, but were told twice that they can’t swim there.

You do need to get an annual pass, which means a medical examination, photos, etc. (They did let me come once by signing a waiver.) They're very friendly people - they even co-opted me into swimming with the Masters group. There were two or three swimmers per lane at 10 AM, but it was empty by noon. The pool is closed on Sundays, but has long hours the rest of the week.

Great facility. I swam here three times in early August and never had trouble getting a lane. Seems to be set up long course most of the time, if not all. Even if a team is in the water, they hold some lanes open for lap swimming . Lane lines, backstroke flags, clock, etc. all in place. There's a roof, but the building is open on one side, so it felt like outdoor swimming. $2 for parking, that's it.

A first class facility. Open air with a roof. The US Masters LCM nationals were held here in 2010.
