This is a world-class competition facility that will host training camps for several countries during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The 50m pool was closed for annual repairs/cleaning when we visited, so we swam in the 25m pool. It was not at all crowded on a weekday afternoon. The pool is on the warm side.
The staff spoke some English and escorted us through the facility, explaining Japanese etiquette (shoe removal, toilet sandals, etc.). Bring 10 ¥ coins for lockers. The pool is located in central Nagasaki—it's easy to reach via tramway. Your admission allows two hours of use—keep your ticket for the exit.
