The place is nothing fancy but it has everything you need, it's not crowded at midday during the week, and the people are nice. Be sure to check the schedule on the official website [website, above] because there are water aerobics and family swim times during which all lane lines are removed. The area has seen better days though I never felt unsafe. You you can bring a lock for a day use locker, if you like. $8 for a single visit, $25 for a week, and $50 for a ten-swim pass. They also sell goggles and caps at the front desk
