Marshall Recreation Center - Marshall University

According to official policy, single-swim admission is not available to the traveling general public. But see "Notes", below.

In October 2022, while reviewing this listing, we reread the Rec Center's website and found that nothing appeared to have changed and that the guest fee remained at $10.00 per day.

The Marshall Recreation Center website section concerning memberships and day-passes indicates that access to the facility is limited to "students, faculty, staff, alumni, associates, and affiliates". That said, the swimmer who sent us the information about this facility advised us "when I called and visited, they said that anyone visiting the area was considered a 'member of the community.' So, I'm not sure who the policy would exclude. Maybe it was just that person's misinterpretation, but they did not verify any type of affiliation." While we feel an obligation to reflect the university's official policy in the Admission section, we also feel obliged to let you know that our swimmer was charged the standard $10.00 guest fee in effect in November, 2015.
