I swam here on five consecutive weekday mornings in March, 2025. The lanes are defined: one lane for pool exercises/walking and five lanes for lap swimming: two slow, two medium, one fast.
I arrived at the pool when the facility opened at 5:30 AM. I swam in the fast lane for over an hour each day and I always shared a lane; the facility was very busy.
One important note about lane sharing: At this YMCA, if there is more than one swimmer in the lane, the rule is swimmers circle swim. I've always split the lane when there are two swimmers, so my first experience with this was clumsy. I swam too close to the other swimmer and was informed (by my lane mate and the lifeguard) of this pool's policy. Once I knew this, the rest of the week went smoothly.
This pool is well staffed and this is a well-equipped facility.
