The Mansion House Hotel in Vineyard Haven, Martha’s Vineyard, is a nice facility with a full gym, hot tub, steam room, and spa. A day pass is $20, and pool hours are from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM—but call ahead to confirm, as hours may vary.
The pool is shallow at both ends, with the deepest part in the middle. I was still able to do flip turns, but it’s a bit tight. There’s just one lane line rope, and it runs directly over the lane tiles on the bottom. It took me a few minutes to adjust and stop swimming over the bottom line instead of next to the rope—not a big deal, just something to get used to. The pool is big enough to have three lanes and six swimmers, no worries.
The locker room is nice, too – tho' they don't provide towels, so be sure to bring your own.
I’ll definitely be going back tomorrow.
