I finally found a pool on Bali with striped lap lanes and clean water. It's one of the cleanest public pools I've been to here. They claim the pool is 25 meters long, but I estimate it's more like 27 meters. If you come during the week in the morning or early afternoon, you'll likely have the pool to yourself. Note: it's in full sun so the water can get too warm for vigorous training. They also have locker rooms and a small snack bar.
It's tucked into an alley; a bit out of the way and hard to find; not convenient, especially when traffic is bad, but worth it. They have swim lessons and training in the late afternoon and evening but during the morning and early afternoon during the week there was only me or one other person swimming.
