The pool is bright, one side being floor-to-ceiling glass. The water temperature is good for lap swimming, although I find the lane width a more narrow than I would like. It wasn't busy when I went early on a Saturday morning and swimmers followed general lane etiquette. Check the timetable before going, as not all lanes are open at all times.
The pool is reasonably easy to get to; it's a short train ride from Liverpool city centre, then a 10 minute walk. The centre is inside Wavertree Playground.
