The facility is closed for 16 weeks of the year. What an absolute waste! The residents of Lismore are forced to drive the extra mileage to Goonellabah to swim in a 25m indoor pool with a water temperature between 30.5ºand 32º. The poor swimming club kids really suffer, as do the parents having to pay extra to take them there. Lunchtime lap swimmers, just head to the university pool... beautiful, cool, clear, and clean water... and open all year round!
