The pool has been recently renovated (2012 - 2013), so it is now in very good condition, including the (pneumatic) gym equipment. Air quality problems seem to have been solved and, importantly for swimmers, the pool now has actual walls in the ends of the pool, making turns is possible. The starting blocks have been removed from the shallower of the two ends and new blocks added to the slightly-deeper end. Diving is still not allowed.
After the renovation, the pool has been very quiet so, while it is a bit out of the way, there will likely be more space to actually swim.
