Laramie Recreation Center

This facility has deteriorated over the last few years. In 2018 the lane lines needed replacement yet available funds were spent instead on landscaping. The lane lines were eventually replaced during the Covid shutdown with Cares Act money, which was also used to remodel office space rather than badly needed locker room updates and shower temperature repairs.

This pool is great. It has a 25y, 8 lane pool in a separate room from the "kiddie" area. The kid area has a simulated beach with a McDonalds-type water play area; a "lazy river"; two waterslides, one inside and one outside; and a 25y lap section in the kids pool is so that you can swim laps while your kid plays. Plus, a hot tub of course. Locker rooms are spacious and clean. Good shower facilities. Diving boards are in the eight lane pool. A great pool for visitors to (or residents of) Laramie!
