This is a great pool to swim laps. The pool is clean, a great temperature, and overall well maintained. It's probably one of the best indoor YMCA pools in Dallas. Most of the times I've visited, I've had a lane all to myself, but occasionally share it with one or two others.
The locker rooms are also clean and well maintained, though not directly attached to the pool (you have to change and then awkwardly walk down the corridor to get to the pool). The pool schedule online is up to date and there are usually at least a couple of lanes available for lap swimming most of the day.
One downside of this pool (like many of the other indoor YMCA pools) is that it closes any time there's a chance of thunderstorms/lightning, which usually means it's closed when it rains.
There's also an outdoor pool under construction and slated to open later this year.
