The facility was absolutely and outstandingly spotless. A sign reminded people to "wash thoroughly WITHOUT swimming costume before swimming" in Finnish, Russian & English. The half of the pool I swam in was seriously deep, doubling at one end as adiving pit. It must have been 6m at least. The water was so clear there was no distortion of vision in any way. Meanwhile, an operator trundled a large cleaning machine around the pool surround. The swimming hall was light filled and very beautiful.
