Great pool. Bright facility. Friendly staff. Nice locker rooms. The water seemed a bit on the warm side for laps.

This Y is lap swimmer friendly: Lanes are shared. The water temperature is good. The staff is businesslike, polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. If you’re in the University area of North Charlotte, and a serious lap swimmer, you can’t go wrong with the UC YMCA pool. In summer, they have a cool outdoor water park with two lanes open most of the time for adult lap swimming. This is an underrated aquatics facility - awesome and very lap swimmer friendly.
