This is a recreational pool on the roof with no lane lines and mostly three-feet deep. The 78-foot description appears to include the approximately four-foot-wide extension at one end. That section was too narrow for my breast stroke so I swam laps without entering it. That section seemed to be about 60-feet long. The pool opens at around 6 AM (if you go and find it locked – it has an impressive chain and Master Lock - you can call down to get it opened). There are plenty of towels. When I looked in the afternoon before there were sunbathers and no one was in the pool, but I can't say what use it gets in the evening.
