The pool has two wide lanes and a proper lane rope. But there are no markings at all on the bottom, making it difficult to swim straight enough to share the lane. The bottom-to-wall transition is rounded and almost imperceptible, making timing flip turns quite annoying. The temperature was cool enough for actual swimming. There are lights in the walls for swimming after dark, but they are positioned to illuminate the middle area, making the flip turn situation even worse.
A decent length lap pool at a hotel is far too unusual, even in fancy resorts like this with multiple pools and water features, so they should be congratulated for that.
I gave it two stars so that nobody pays a premium to stay here because of the pool. If they just painted some lines on the bottom and crosses on the walls, it would be great, and I'd change my review…
