Facility Notes

The pool opened on October 15, 1931.

This pool is used primarily for swimming instruction. Public recreational access is limited.

In December, 2023 (the last date whose schedule was available in December, 2024) all age recreational swims were offered on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:15 PM and Fridays from 6:15 to 7:45 PM; adult only recreational swims were offered on Mondays from 6:45 to 8:15 PM and Fridays from 1:45 to 2:45 PM.

The pool is small, extremely dark, and very warm. For lap swimming go to the pool on the other side of the high school. Lots of older women who stand around in the middle of the pool make it difficult to swim laps.

“Lifeguards” don't seem to mind that these folks are blocking others trying to swim. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who is actually trying to get in some fitness time.
