Facility Notes
The pond, and it is a pond, is guarded from Memorial Day to Labor Day. During that time swimming is restricted to a beach area approximately 800-feet long. After Labor Day, the park remains open but the lifeguards are no longer there, so swimmers have access to the entire pond, which is approximately 1820-feet long end-to-end. Given its location, the pond probably spends several months of the year frozen over.
