The pool is very clean, with only some leaves from the gardens. Very attractive. Showers and gym are sparkling clean.
A good choice for business travelers, especially for meetings in Barra or Sao Conrado, but budget extra time to get to the Centro.For tourists the hotel is inconveniently located for the attractions but close to good surfing and hang gliding.
If you live in Sao Conrado or the east end of Barra, it is conveniently located, but for the rest of Zona Sul, traffic is difficult.
Hidroginastica classes (aqua aerobics) are offered in the shallow end of one pool, while the other is open to all. The pools are divided by a lane rope across the middle, between the shallow and deep ends, effectively forcing one to swim crosswise, rather than lengthwise. There are no lanes marked off or reserved for lap swimming, so expect to deal with kids staying at the hotel splashing around.
