The pool isn't perfect for lap swimmers because of the lack of lines on the bottom (and the 9,300 foot altitude of Quito) but the size is good, the surroundings pleasant, and it appears to rarely be crowded.

The pool is shaped like a heart stuck in a shoe. We have chosen the length from the furthest northwest corner to the furthest southeast corner; there appear to be no walls parallel to each other to push off from.
