Holmes Place Vienna International Club

I went from 3 to 4 on a Wednesday afternoon. It is a beautiful, three-lane pool with lane lines separating the lanes. I had a lane to myself so there were no issues with circle swimming. The odd thing about the pool is that the bottom and sides are metallic and there are no markings at the end to help with judging the timing for a turn. There's no time clock, either.

I swam in this pool several times. It is pretty unpleasant and very small. At best, three or four people can swim in the pool at the same time. Plus, most of the times it is overcrowded with people who either do water aerobics (leaving no place for swimmers) or who swim very slowly and do not understand and/or embrace the concept of circle swimming.

This is a nice health club, very near the UN/Vienna International Center, underground, etc. so it's very convenient for UN visitors. The daily non-member rate is high, but the staff are nice and helpful.
