The pool opens quite late, which suited me for a one-day trip to Cologne – the last exit from the pool is 30 minutes before closing, though the lifeguard did not intervene and another customer and I were in the water until nearly ten past nine at night. The pool is relatively old-fashioned, having opened in 1975; it is fully tiled with some side lighting; the water is quite cool (the temperature wasn't displayed) and quite deep, 1.8m at the shallow end. One lane was reserved for lap swimming; some pool buoys are available for use.
The lockers take a €1 coin or same size token (which is returned after use); there are hairdryers that operate on a 10¢ coin and specific small lockers for mobile phones (must be silenced!). There is a free car park for maybe 40 vehicles and on-street parking in the local residential area. Entry prices remain the same regardless of length of admission. Swim caps are not required; there does not seem to be a prohibition on baggy shorts either.
