Hallenbad Textorbad

Both times I have been there, only one lane had ropes for lap swimmers; it was designated as a ‘fast lane’. The rest of the pool was ‘open swim’, where lap swimming was difficult due to children and others moving about randomly. Otherwise, the facility is very nice.

One of the best 25m pools in Germany. Extremely clean, well marked lanes. One poor swimmer was booted from the fast lane by the Schwimmeister. No messing around. Swimmers were generally good with lane rules. Locker rooms are impeccable, I thought I was in Munich. Showers are excellent. It's a two minute walk from a major subway station; has very good hours; and lane swimming is always in effect.

Friendly lifeguards, if the school kids come in and take the lanes they will happily add another. Warmer water on Fridays and Saturday mornings. Busy on a Saturday morning with local kids training in three lanes. Recommended. Very clean, practicallybrand new, excellent facility.
