This is a small pool without lane ropes. A rope across the width pool usually separates a shallow, kids' area from the deeper part of the pool, so only there's only 20m left for swimming, except for Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings, when a Bahn frei ("free lane") is scheduled. At that time, the depth of the shallow end is adjusted to 1.25m and the rope is removed, leaving the full 25m available for lap swimming. There are lots of kids in the afternoon and lots of classes for them, usually in the shallow end. In the evening it is okay, but can be hellish, if it's crowded.
