Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre

This is a wonderful facility. The water temperature is perfect for swimming laps and there are usually lanes kept reserved for laps. The inside pool is 25 meters, the outside pool 50. The inside pool is usually more crowded; the outside one seems rarely to have more than one or two people swimming per lane.

Rating: 10 on a scale of 10. This is a great facility. It has two beautiful pools, is well maintained, and is heated throughout the year. Parts of the outdoor, 50m pool are occasionally sectioned off to allow 25-meter swimming. And it's rarely busy. The temperature is nice and the swimmers are disciplined, they know how to follow circle-swimming rules.

The inside, 25-meter pool is more heavily used, including by school groups, but there are always lap lanes available and, despite sometimes including a mix of styles and strokes, it's always possible to get in a flat-out lap swim.

The whole complex is sparklingly clean and well maintained. The change room is fractionally not quite right but it's a small issue. It's a rare 10/10. Come here for a great lap swim.
