Very well maintained, perfect temperature. Twenty-five years ago, on the first day of a 3-day road trip from Brisbane to Melbourne, it was hotter and drier than blazes, which was fine, but made me long for a pool. As I pulled into Gunnedah, I saw a beautiful 50m outdoor pool set up for long course with no one but staff present! I swam one of the most enjoyable 1Ks I'd done in a while, and then relaxed on deck and chatted with the lifeguards, jumping in to cool off every now and then, which was often, as I recall.
