Equinox Sports Club - San Francisco

This is, hands down, the best place to do laps in San Francisco. It's clean, well maintained, and has individual lanes for each person.

One review here noted that it was crowded; I've been swimming here for over a year and have never seen it crowded. I can’t recommend it enough!

Very clean. The lanes are too narrow for more than one swimmer, but I never saw it crowded.

The pool is saltwater, lightly chlorinated, and fairly cool. Lanes are narrow, most wide enough for only one swimmer. Kickboards and pull buoys available. Pace clock on the pool deck. The pool was full at 5 PM, so I had to share a lane for the first 20 minutes in the one lane big enough, near the wall. Everyone swimming laps; they all seemed familiar with pool etiquette. An excellent pool for travelers.
