At the deep end, the sidewall and bottom of the pool meet with an "insert" at about a 45º angle and the stripes for lanes 1 and 6 are on the angled inserts, rather than on the bottom. The starting blocks for those lanes are covered up (and by more than just a cone) to indicate they aren't to be used. There were no lane lines in the water.
When I walked in, the air temperature seemed so warm that I was concerned about what the water temperature would be, but it was appropriately cool. And maybe the air only seemed warm because I could have been comparing it to the chilly outdoors.
I was here for about 90 minutes and the only other people in the pool were a few senior ladies for a water exercise group; one other person arrived for lap swim after me and left before I did. The lifeguard said that the lack of a crowd was typical. The place shows its age, but it appears very well maintained.
