At $2 a head, it's worth its price. It's a very simple, bare-bones pool facility. The locker rooms are sufficient (BYO lock). The six-lane pool was without lane lines, but the stripes on the bottom kept swimmers apart. The big news is that the water was too warm for any serious lap swimming. The only way I could make even a mile was to stop and cool off every five or six laps, standing with arms outstretched like a cormorant drying its wings. If it weren't the only game for miles around, I'd say avoid this one. But it is. If you do decide to give it a try, call ahead and ask about water temperature. Apparently, it's not always so warm.
