David Lloyd Clubs -Oxford

Oxford is my preferred club among the David Lloyd leisure group clubs.

There is a 25m indoor pool, a small indoor children's pool, and an adjoining spa area with sauna, steam room, and whirlpool. Also gym, etc.

The 25m indoor pool is at a reasonable temperature for serious swimming (28.5ºC). Half the pool is laned - there are three lanes with proper wave suppression barriers between each. I have rarely experienced overcrowding, and mostly have had a lane to myself.

The pool, surrounding spa areas, and changing facilities are in good repair: fresh, bright and clean - I have no hesitation in recommending this particular club.

The pool is very nice; it is a uniform depth, deep enough for swimming but not for diving. There is always at least one lane open for swimming, even if they have lessons going on in the pool.There is also a Jacuzzi®, sauna and steam room next to the pool, which members can use any time. The changing facilities are lovely too, but you would expect that as the membership is so expensive!
