Crook Log Sports Centre

This is the dirtiest swimming pool I have been to. I used to swim in Buckingham and Uxbridge swimming pools. But Crook Log is outstandingly not clean. The floor is not professionally washed - old dirt stains are clearly visible. And there's sand and hair in the main pool.

The fitness lanes are often overcrowded with people swimming two-by-two and chatting, rather than swimming in the general swim area. The other side of the fitness lane is taken by lessons weekday evenings until 7 PM or later. The fitness lane gets so crowded that I’ve seen scenes of “lane rage”. This pool needs to become a fitness-only or general swim-only pool; the two do not work well together. The changing areas are often dirty and the showers and lockers often don’t work.
