Colonial Pool and Spa

This is a small gift of a facility. Two 25-yard salt-water pools. It's a simple facility, very well maintained, very dedicated staff, and a friendly group of regulars. One pool has more use with hotel guests and water aerobics, the second pool is more serious swimmers doing laps. I'm a local resident and have had a membership at this facility for 15 years. I'm a daily lap swimmer. It's indispensable for me.

This is a rare find: Two 25-yard, saltwater pools - one with four lanes and perfect for lap swimming; the other, three lanes, very warm, and only three-feet deep in the shallow end. Very friendly staff. There's some exercise equipment as well.

The pool's plastic lining makes the walls and floor blend together in an indistinguishable, homogenous, fluffy color; the lack of a racing stripe or any markings makes lap swimming a treacherous activity. At one point, the depth is less than 3f, requiring stroke adjustment. After one swim, I didn't return to this facility.

The pool is full sized and set up for lap swimming; but since it's available as a club to local residents, it's unpredictably full or empty.
