I have been swimming competitively for 52 years. I have had the pleasure and privilege to swim in some of the best pools all over the world. I rate Coach Soichi Sakamoto Pool in Maui as #1. This pool is a swimmer's dream. It is set for 50-meter long course; the water is deep and fast and, most importantly, the water is cool, 78º - 79ºF. It simply does not get any better - other than the fact that there is no charge to swim. The lifeguards are friendly and the hours are very reasonable. This pool must be on every swimmers bucket list!!
