During Derby Day (Kentucky Derby) the public pools in Louisville were closed, as the city shutdown for the event. I made a trip to Shelbyville from Louisville to use the Clear Creek Family Activity Center Pool, as it was the closest open public pool open where I could swim laps.
I was impressed how clean the facility and well maintained the pool was. The staff were very friendly to boot. I travel and visit pools as a drop-in all the time and this was a well-managed aquatic center. Much cleaner than the public pools in Louisville.
