This was one of three public pools I visited in Tokyo, and my least favorite, but that speaks mostly to how good the others were; this one would have seemed fantastic most other places -- it's just a bit older and less spotless than the others. It wasn't busy on a weekday morning. There were designated slow, medium, and fast lanes, along with guidelines for what each of these meant (>30sec/length, 25-30sec per length, and <25 sec/length respectively). Swim caps are required and there are 10 minute breaks periodically every hour for them to clean and inspect the pool.
