Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre

This is an excellent place for lap swimming. There’s an 8-lane x 25-metre pool attached to a lagoon-type pool. The pool was spotlessly clean, heated to an ideal temperature, and well maintained. In the morning (before noon), there were usually only a couple of other people swimming, so I always had a lane to myself. There’s also a retractable shade covering to protect the swimmers on hot, sunny days. And there are two locker rooms—one right next to the pool and another one in the main gym/building.

For those without a car, the pool is easily accessible as it’s located at one of the main stops on the bus route.
