Brooks Family YMCA

I have swum here several times between 2021 and 2025. Easy entry with reciprocal YMCA membership, without charge. They use a lane reservation system for everyone but if you haven't done that and just drop in, it seems there's still a decent chance of snagging a lane, though you might have to share it. There is an entirely separate kids' waterpark-like pool. Lap pool temperature was around 79 or 80ºF. The pool itself is very nice. The locker room and showers are above average. It's a nice facility.

It's a good-swimming pool, with good gutters and ropes to minimize turbulence — which is great since many local youth swim teams practice here. The pool schedule is on the website and they seem to have lap lanes open all the time, though the number of lanes depends on swim practices, etc. Bring your own lock for the locker room. The staff is very friendly and helpful; the gym is bustling with a broad cross-section of the community present (all ages, races, abilities).
