It is a clean pool kept at a sensible temperature so that swimmers can swim and chatters can chat. The changing area is unisex island-style with lockers that take £1.00, which is returnable. Other users are generally friendly to newcomers and happily involve them in their conversations, sometimes even if they don’t want to be included. I’ve swum there on many occasions and have always enjoyed it. I always feel I have swum really fast – or maybe their clock just runs slower…
