Bobby Hicks Memorial Swimming Pool

When I went here in May of 2022, the morning was a swimmer's dream, with six hours of long course lanes (5:30 to 11:30 AM) each weekday morning. The water was cool and clear, the double big green Swimnerd pace clocks were visible from both ends, and there were never so many people that circle swimming was required.

While there are rudimentary showers and change rooms, there are no lockers in which to lock your stuff. I also saw they had evening hour SCY lap swimming available, but I didn't check it out. This is a GREAT pool for a workout.

This is a wonderful pool. It's outdoors with beautiful, clean water at just the right temperature for laps. Call or see the schedule on its website for the long/short course schedule. There are simple changing rooms with no lockers. On our visit, the men's showers worked great but the women's lacked water pressure. Still, all in all, a great place to swim your laps.

This is a beautiful pool. (Any time 50m is available, it's a plus.) The staff is very nice and helpful. The water is cool and clean. I went on a weekday at 10 AM and was the only one there for awhile. Typical park bathrooms, changing area, showers. There are cubby boxes on the pool deck to leave your stuff while you swim. Free sunscreen in the changing area!

It is convenient; there is ample parking; the staff is friendly and cordial; and the water is clean. It's hard to beat that combination!
