The Blue Pool is actually an unheated sea pool filled by a combination of swell and high tide. The pool is usually clean and clear (you can eat small oysters growing on the pool wall, and there are usually small fish swimming around). It's about 55m if you swim close to the sea side pool wall. A swell or rogue wave can create a dangerous backwash, but most of the time the pool is as safe and efficient as any standard city pool, with the bonus of a natural environment.
