Bellevue Club

I checked out getting a membership here in October 2021. For the amount they charge for a monthly membership, I expected the pool area to have vacant lap lanes. It did not. A lifeguard I spoke with admitted to frequent crowded pool conditions, so I decided I could find better ways to spend my money.

The two back-to-back pools at the Bellevue Club are both fine facilities, and the members are very courteous in their lane etiquette. Be prepared for families with kids, though, especially on weekend afternoons, even if some of those kids show promise as future Olympians, and it's fun to watch them in action. The Jacuzzi is more of a social center for moms than a place to soothe tired muscles, but the steam and sauna in the well-appointed locker rooms make up for it. Parking, towels, and lockers are free, as are coffee and tea in the locker rooms, and the overall ambience of the club is understated sophistication. Only downside: it used to have a 50m pool, but it was removed. Bad move!

The facility is amazing. The 25 meter pool is pristine, not crowded, and a real joy for lap swimming. Pace clocks everywhere, cool water and set up perfectly for lap swimming. Stay at the hotel and enjoy your swim.
