Facility Notes

The 20m indoor pool is a recent (post 2016) addition to the facility, but it is not open to the public for recreational swimming; it is for teaching and therapeutic aquatic exercise programs only.

In March, 2024, the centre began work on replacing the 60-year old, 33⅓m pool with a new 50m, 8 lane tank expected to open in 2025. There's a page about the new facility HERE. It appears that the 33⅓m pool is being demolished to make room for the new pool, but that is not explicitly stated on the pool's web page.

While the main, outdoor pool is closed, there is some availability for lap swimming in the 20m, indoor pool.

It is centrally located, a good size pool, and has shade while I do my laps - morning or afternoon. It would be nice if the pool were to open earlier on Sundays, particularly during the warmer months so people could do laps earlier in the morning.
