Facility Notes

Towel facilities, a small gym and sauna and massage offered. Women only: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. Women can swim during all other times as well.

In October, 2024, we received a note questioning whether the drop-in charge shown above was still in effect and noted that in September, 2024, a package of 12 swims cost 100 Azerbaijani manats, approx. US$60, at the time.

In all likelyhood, the drop-in price shown in the listing is probably way out of date (if still offered at all) but, absent more current information, we have left it in the listing as an indicator of the situation at the time.

II swam here regularly in both 2009 and 2024. It is a well-organized facility, kept especially clean both in terms of the pool itself, and surrounds, where all entering have to cover their shoes in single-use plastic boots. The water is definitely on the warm side, the only drawback. Swim caps are required and bring your own towel. Traffic is lightest from 11 AM to 1 PM.

The fee includes the use of a locker and lock. No English is spoken, usually some Russian, otherwise it’s all Azerbaijani. A fitness gym, personal training, and sports massages are also offered.

I saw a review on Google Maps from January, 2018, which reported that the water temperature was 31.2ºC (88.2ºF). When I phoned them and asked "Do you speak English?" the woman who answered the phone, just said "No" and hung up on me.
