Facility Notes

The pool opens at 5:30 A.M. weekdays.

This YMCA has threee pools: The first one listed above is the "Buchannan Pool", which is the primary pool for lap swimming here. The second one, also listed above, is the "Bolt Pool", which is slightly shorter and warmer, but is sometimes used for laps. The last one is the "Guardian Pool"; it is not listed above as we don't know the dimensions and its 90ºF. water temperature makes it unsuitable for laps.

In August, each year, the Y may close one or two of the pools for cleaning and maintenance. If you'll be visiting here in August, a telephone call to find out the pools' status may be well worth your while.

This is a very nice "Y" with two very nice pools. The Buchanan Pool (25m) is for lap swimmers - 6 lanes and no congestion at all. Water in good condition, perfect temp. Minor drawbacks: The shallow portion is only 3 feet deep and parking is limited.
