It's an outdoor pool desperately in need of enclosure in winter. Despite what must be enormous heating and maintenance bills, the pool is kept open year-round. The water temperature is constant and perfect for swimming laps. The lanes start to fill up in summer, but for 3/4 of year you get your own lane. The water quality is acceptable although the chlorine level is high. Few swimmers shower, because you freeze getting from the locker room to the pool.
