This facility is an architectural landmark (locals call it the "opera house for swimming") - it vaguely reminds me of Eero Saarinen's design of the TWA terminal (now hotel) at JFK airport in New York.
The facility was completely revamped during a two-year closure and reopened at the end of 2023. I have swum laps in the main, 50-meter pool at various times during the day; it's generally OK, even when busy, because it is so big. Circle-swimming discipline is generally good in the double-wide, speed-designated lanes (fast and slow), but sometimes there is the occasional slower "middle swimmer" in the lane who belongs further to the right along the lane-line. Sometimes I simply swim laps in the free-for-all open-swim lane, and just weave left and right - I find that easier at times when the swimming lanes are crowded.
This is a good pool and even better now after its renovation.
