Facility Notes

The stadium complex which houses the aquatic center has a Facebook page, but it's in Thai and Facebook's translation system makes one translate each post separately, so it's unwieldy. Posts beneath photos of the pools will be the most helpful.

The pool is open from 8 AM to 8 PM, no shorts allowed in the pool. [December, 2021]

The facility was built for the 1995 SEA Games and named to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the founding of Chiang Mai.

I swam here on a Sunday afternoon in November, 2017. It was excellent because there was nobody except me - a real luxury for serious swimmers. I'm not sure if the pool is heated but the temperature was very pleasant - about 23º to 25ºC (73º to 77ºF).
