March 2025: Orange and Placer Counties Checked, Reviewers Pick a Pool
In March 2025 we finished Orange County, California, and Placer County and began Riverside County. Swimmers' reviews chose our Pool of the Month in Tokyo, and we explain why we do not list apartment and condominium pools.
This March 2025 pool listings update reports that we finished two California counties and began a third. It also features a Pool of the Month chosen by our users and two practical tips for traveling swimmers.
Listing checks
In March we returned to our program of systematically checking listings. We finally wrapped up Orange County, California, then completed Placer County, and we are now working through Riverside County.
Pool of the Month
Reviews can give you a far better idea of what swimming at a particular venue will be like than our own brief descriptions. At the very end of March we received a review of a pool in the Shibuya Ward of Tokyo, Japan. That review gave the pool four and a half stars, as did one in February. A reviewer in November 2024 gave it five stars. Earlier reviews are not star-rated, but all five are uniformly positive.
So for March we left the choice to our users, and they chose the Daikan'yama Supōtsu Puraza (Daikanyama Sports Plaza) as the Places2Swim Pool of the Month for March 2025. Read why swimmers chose it.

Short-term apartment and condominium rentals
Places2Swim began as an aid for travelers, and we have always listed hotel pools. We do not list pools in apartment and condominium buildings, because you would have to lease or buy a unit to use them. Owners can, however, offer their units for short-term rental on booking websites. As with hotel chain websites, you can enter your party size and your arrival and departure dates, and on these sites you can also show only the properties that have swimming pools. Our
