June 2022: Timor-Leste Becomes Country 210; Québec and Italy
In June 2022 we listed our first pools in Timor-Leste, the 210th country in the directory, and returned to reviewing older listings in Québec and Italy. Our Pool of the Month is in Ocala, Florida.
June 2022 brought a new country to the directory: Timor-Leste (East Timor), number 210. This update covers those first pool listings and our return to reviewing Québec and Italy.
A new country: Timor-Leste
In early June we came across our first listings in Timor-Leste, a former Portuguese colony that has been independent since 2002. We found three listings in the capital, Dili. The best pool we found in the country is the Piscina de Baucau in Baucau.
Listing reviews
We were not looking for new pools in June. It was time to get back to updating pools we already list but had not reviewed in a long time. We started with Québec and then alternated between Québec and Italy. We last went through Italy nearly ten years ago and Québec seven years ago, so both were long past due.
Reviewing Québec also brought up the County/Region groupings we use for its cities and towns. We were told some years ago that they were badly out of date. We built them from a 1984 world atlas, and the provincial divisions had been reorganized in the early 1980s, before that atlas was published.
